Avenue is committed to the development of our employees and local youth, many of whom will be tomorrow’s leaders of our organisation. We currently offer the following programmes:
Our Intern Program is your chance to join Avenue in a full-time position, with real projects and challenging goal from day one. You will have the opportunity to gain meaningful professional experiences by working alongside our other talented professionals to solve problems, improve processes, and launch new products that can help save lives.
We offer ongoing internships in many areas of our business, so contact our HR department to learn more.
Avenue’s Apprenticeship Programme is a unique way to gain hands-on technical experience with structured education. Apprenticeships open up exciting and rewarding careers, with learning grounded in the practical experience of undertaking a real job. Our dual system is a blended combination of on-the-job, employer-based training and off-the-job development, with formal education and training alternating between the workplace and a local education or training centre.
We currently offer Apprenticeship programmes in Toolmaking and Polymer Processing:
These Apprenticeships are supported by a group of experienced Mentors in our business who have several years of expertise in their field.
To encourage employees to become more effective on the job and to increase their potential for development within our organisation, Avenue maintains an Educational Reimbursement Programme. All regular full-time and part-time employees with at least 12 months of continuous service prior to enrollment are eligible to apply for job-related courses and seek reimbursement of the college fees.
We are proud to have supported employees at all levels who have completed training courses – from short-term courses to degree level – using the GW Plastics Educational Reimbursement Program.
